Understanding Varicocele and Male Fertility

Another common condition studied in Andrology is Varicocele. This condition involves the abnormal enlargement of erotic veins within the scrotum.

Varicocele can impair blood circulation around the testes and increase scrotal temperature. Elevated temperature can interfere with normal sperm production.

Many men with varicocele experience reduced sperm quality, including decreased sperm count and motility.

In severe cases, surgical treatment may be recommended to correct the abnormal veins and restore proper blood flow.

Successful treatment may improve fertility and increase the chances of natural conception.
